Ankle support principle
As a kind of lightweight ankle protective orthosis, ankle support is suitable for patients with ankle sprain, ankle ligament injury and ankle instability. It can effectively provide a buffer for the ankle during exercise, which can limit the left and right activities of the ankle, prevent the sprain caused by the inside and outside of the ankle, reduce the pressure on the injured part of the ankle, strengthen the ankle and promote the recovery of the injured soft tissue. Moreover, it can be used with ordinary shoes and will not affect walking gait.
If the muscles, tendons and ligaments around the ankle joint have not received enough training and are weak, there is a risk of injury. For example, the muscles of the lower leg may be stronger than the overall muscles of the lower leg, which can lead to an imbalance in muscle strength. Or the Achilles tendon is too tight and the muscles in the front are too flexible, which leads to an imbalance in flexibility. The second is a lack of warm-up and muscle stretching. A support band can provide additional support and stability for weak and injured ankles.
